“Great songs and a powerhouse voice. Easy to see great things ahead for her.” – Gary Lightbody, Snow Patrol
“Rebekah Fitch has become something of a Northern Irish pop phenomenon.” – Hot Press
Combining enigmatic artistry, thought-provoking lyrics and genuine wonder, Rebekah Fitch is a new alternative-pop artist that has been making waves in Ireland and beyond. The power of music is in its ability to carry a message, and this is exactly what Rebekah does.
After a sold-out headline show in The MAC Theatre in March, Rebekah is back with her full band for a headline show in The Empire. Not afraid of taking on an ambitious project, her next hometown show will be the only chance to see her back in Belfast this year since her move to London. Her dynamic multi-instrumental live shows, complete with mesmerizing live-looping, flute, and powerful vocals, have attracted serious attention and are now in constant demand.
Not only has she performed for Will and Kate, in 2019, she has already reached 100,000 Spotify streams and released her second EP, Lies We Tell Ourselves. Along with her debut EP, Broken Mind, this received praise from Clash Magazine, Nialler9, The Thin Air and more. She was included in Hot Press Magazine’s “Hot for 2019” list, and The Thin Air’s “19 for 19” list, was awarded the PRS Foundation’s Lynsey De Paul Prize and Help Musicians Transmission Fund, and was one of five nominees for the NI Music Prize Oh Yeah Contender Award (best emerging act). She has performed at festivals such as Stendhal (main stage) and the prestigious Other Voices.
She has gained commercial success with playlisting on FM104 (as their Select Irish Artist), Cool FM and U105, in addition to performing live sessions on Sky One, UTV, and BBC Radio Ulster. Live show highlights include performing in the SSE Arena Belfast, and in a sold-out Koko in London, as well as a self-organised 9-date tour of the UK and Ireland.
