Indie folk artist Joshua Burnside kicks off his UK/IRE tour with a show in the iconic Empire Music Hall in his home town. Accompanied by his six-piece band, Burnside will bring the full scope of his cinematic alt-folk sound to the stage in Belfast for the beginning of his November tour.
With a combination of tracks from his Northern Irish Music Prize-winning album, ‘EPHRATA’, as well as EPs ‘Hollllogram,’ ‘All Round the Light Said’, and ‘Wear Bluebells In Your Hat If You’re Goin’ That Way,’ Burnside commands a setlist that strides effortlessly between vulnerable, heartfelt ballads and lucid, genre-bending anthems. Interwoven themes of introspection, wanderlust and love lorn nights line the emotional horizon of Burnside’s world.
With festival season in full swing, the Northern-Irish folk artist has already seen several shows at Glastonbury, with slots at Cambridge Folk Festival, Wilderness Festival, All Together Now, Knockanstockan and more on the way in the lead to his headlining UK/IRE tour.
With a full band in tow, Burnside will expand on his already considerable live sound. Spanning raw emotion, sweeping heights and woozy claustrophobia, no two show’s attitudes and character are alike. The exquisite arrangement of his live performance boasts a tangible, indisputable aura that can be felt throughout the evening, making each event an unmissable one.
