The King

Jim ‘The king’ Brown released the groundbreaking and, massively successful ‘Gravelands’ album in 1998 for EMI featuring the hits ’Come As You Are’ & ’Whole Lotta Rosie.’ He followed this up in 2000 with the bestselling ‘Return To Splendor’ featuring the hit ‘Under The Bridge.’


Playing SOLD OUT shows of his own throughout the UK, Europe & beyond The King has supported The Stereophonics (at the request of Kelly Jones), the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Seal, Joe Cocker and has performed alongside Will Smith & Robbie Williams. The King has duetted with Cerys (Catatonia) Matthews, as well as Suggs from Madness amongst others with Sir Tom Jones stating “Finally…someone at last that does Presley justice!”


The King’s music features heavily in the movie ‘Lonely Street’ especially ‘When The Rebel Comes home’ which has proved to be a huge YouTube hit.

He has since released the albums ‘Any Way You Want Me’ (2005) and the LIVE double cd ‘The American Sound Show.’(2007)


On April 4th 2014 a ‘Best of…’ album: ‘Return To Gravelands’ featuring 7 previously unreleased tracks is released accompanied by a huge German tour.
